Gerlof Koster managing director
Has his roots in the coating world, so knows a lot about powder coating, wet paint and coating systems. With his many years of experience, galvanising has not much secrets for him either. He is a busy guy, and he he can be found on the shop floor as well as at the office. Likes to interact with employees, clients and business contacts. Gerlof's motto: “we don't want to be the largest, but the best.” With his team he is doing everything in his power to realise this.
 

André Hoogsteen commercial manager
Started at the office where he gained five years of experience with surface treatment companies. Since 2008 he has final commercial responsibility for galvanising, centrifuge galvanising and powder coating. When he can provide clients with adequate advice by telephone or in a personal conversation, he feels like a fish in water. As André himself says: “Be honest and provide clarity, that is what the client needs and wants.”

Geert Bergsma production manager
Geert is production manager for Verzinkerij Wolvega, Centrizink Wolvega as well as Poedercoating Wolvega. The combination of three surface treatment companies at one site requires a clockwork operation. Geert is the right person to handle everything correctly. Being on the shop floor a lot and consulting daily with his team members enables them to do great things. He is always glad to help clients with technical advice and assistance on the surface treatment process. Hot-dip galvanising is his specialty. “Collaborating makes us stronger together!”

Aaldert van Dalen planner galvanising and powder coating
Aaldert is engaged in the day-to-day tuning of the material supply and production capacity at Verzinkerij Wolvega, Centrizink Wolvega and Poedercoating Wolvega respectively. That makes it possible to indicate a reliable lead time at an early stage. Aaldert continuously checks that the order progress in the various production processes and so the monitors the lead times.

Peter Machiela chief accountant
Peter is responsible for all financial records of Verzinkerij Wolvega, Centrizink Wolvega and Poedercoating Wolvega. Calm and thorough, he is a financial beacon within the company. Responding flexibly to changes in financial processes, he manages them effectively.

Kosto Veninga administrative assistant sales
Kosto is an allround employee. He started at the shop floor in the galvanising plant where he worked as galvaniser, crane operator and forklift driver. For many years he has been responsible for planning in galvanising, powder coating and transport. Now he arranges invoicing for galvanising, centrizink and powder coating. He also supports the commercial department by dealing with clients. His motto: “Versatility keeps you young and doing a good job gives me pleasure!”
 

Wim van Nieuwenhoven receiving inspector
Wim is the most experienced receiving inspector. He has been working at the galvanising plant for 24 years now and he knows almost anything about the galvanising and coating processes. With his knowledge he can help clients solving problems and answering questions. “Supplying material with the right packing slip is half the job.”

 

Bert The Ruijter receiving inspector
Together with Wim and Jaap he has been receiving inspector for galvanising and coating work for many years. Bert likes to give clients advice on technical preconditions for galvanising and powder coating. So Bert´s motto is: “Thorough consultation before preservation beats having to solve problems afterwards.”

Jaap Augusteijn receiving inspector
Jaap is one of the old hands with his 23 years of experience in the galvanising plant. He has worked at all positions in the galvanising plant, which gives him a wealth of practical experience in his current position as receiving inspector. Jaap says: “Keep it practical and try to find the correct solution to problems.”

 

Marcus Dubling Quality, Labour and Environment coordinator /purchaser
Marcus has been working at Verzinkerij Wolvega since 1981. He is a man with a heart for the company, with the occasional criticism. Marcus has held various positions within the company and over the past ten years he has been responsible for purchasing and for coordinating quality, labour and environment issues. As Marcus himself says: “ Safety first!”

Johanna The Vries desk assistant
Most clients know Johanna. No wonder since she's been working at Wolvega for more than a quarter-century. Johanna has a friendly word for everyone at expedition galvanising and powder coating. Johanna is a real workhorse who quickly and accurately books the orders into the system. Johanna’s motto: “When you deal with what arrived today, you can start with a clean slate the next morning.”
